about wildboho

A self-taught embroidery artist, I spend time pairing color, pattern and fabric combinations to create modern hoop art. While growing up, my seamstress mother tried (unsuccessfully) to teach me how to sew. I then began experimenting with non-sewing related fiber arts, and my appreciation for them grew as I stashed embroidery floss to make friendship bracelets, dabbled in weaving and rug hooking and learned how to knit. It wasn’t until years later that something clicked and I discovered how captivating the world of fabric could be (and I finally, with help once again from my mom, learned how to wrangle a sewing machine!) In recent years, I discovered my love for creating contemporary hoop art embellished with freestyle embroidery, beads, sequins and lots of fiber!

  1. Hi Nicole, This is your mom’s cousin, Lynda! I am so impressed by your beautiful stitcher and in awe of your talent! Your great-grandmother, Grace Reynolds Henkensiefken would be proud! She was also accomplished in all needlecrafts!

It’s great to be in touch with your mom again. We always had great times together and too much time has passed with out contact!

    1. Hi! So there is a supply list…if you go to the QuiltCon site and pick my class, I think it’s a button at the lower right side of the pop-up that says “Supply List”. If you still have problems finding it, send me an email and I’ll get it to you! (Bohostitchery@gmail.com) Can’t wait…we’re going to have fun!!
